CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY CLIENT/STUDENT
Tuition/lessons may be cancelled by the Client/Student with at least 24 hours' notice to the Tutor, in which case no tuition fees will be charged. Lessons missed without giving the Tutor 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full rate.
All sessions must be completed within a 30-day period beginning on the first day of the month. If a client/student cancels a session (within the 24-hour policy), a makeup session must be scheduled within 7 days or those missed hours will be forfeited.
CANCELLATION BY TUTOR
The Tutor may cancel lessons with 24 hours' notice to the Client/Student, in which case no fees will be charged. If a lesson was pre-paid, the Tutor must reschedule the appointment at a mutually agreeable time, or the Client/Student will be refunded the missed lesson fee.
All sessions must be completed within 30 days of the first day sessions began. If a tutor cancels a session, a makeup session must be scheduled within 7 days or the missed hours will be forfeited.
LATE ARRIVAL
Fees are calculated according to the times specified in the schedule, and no adjustments will be made for time lost due to the Student's late arrival. Students who arrive late will only be tutored for the remainder of the scheduled session. There will be no extended sessions.
Any time lost due to unexpected events, such as a lost internet connection, will be compensated for by mutually agreeing to extend a lesson by the amount of time lost.
NO SHOW POLICY
Students who are not present at the pre-arranged location when the Tutor arrives or who arrive more than 15 minutes late are considered no-shows. If the Student fails to appear for the tutoring session, he or she is still responsible for payment. Lessons missed by the Student will not be discounted or refunded.
Pay-per-session clients must present payment for both the missed session and the next session in order for tutoring to continue.
MISSED SESSIONS

Because the purpose of the tutoring sessions is to improve academic performance, it is critical that the Student attends on a regular and timely basis. If there are seven or more cancellations, no-shows, or tardinesses in any two-month period, the client will be charged a $25 Convenience Fee for each occurrence.
TERMINATION POLICY
This tutoring agreement may be terminated/changed at any time by either party providing the other party with (10) ten days prior written notice. If SBTLC terminates the agreement, a refund may be issued based on a pro-rated balance owed (if a balance is owed). If the Learning Package is changed by the student, the original length of the agreement is reset.

If you are unhappy with any of the lessons, please let us know and we will give you a credit.
Please notify us if you wish to cancel the online tutoring service. We will gladly refund any unused lessons, no questions asked.
Tutoring Service Online Cancellation/refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the purchase date.
After deducting a 10% administration fee, refunds will be issued for unused lessons.
For example, suppose you paid $260 for a 20-hour plan. After three lessons, this subscription is cancelled. We will deduct the administration fee of 10% of $260 = $26.00 and the cost of three lessons, 3 x $13 = $39, and refund you the balance of $260 – $26 – $39 = $195.00.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE STUDENTS
The Student agrees to assist the Tutor in identifying problem areas where the Student requires specialized tutoring.
The Student agrees to be prepared for each session by having all materials, homework, etc ready and available.
The Student agrees that assignments, exercises, or homework are an important part of tutoring and agrees to complete such work on time.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARENT/GUARDIAN
The parent/guardian agrees to be accountable for the student's behavior and character during tutoring sessions, including punctuality, respectful behavior, and staying on task.
Any communication with the tutor must be initiated by the parent/guardian.
The parent/guardian agrees to ensure that the student completes all tutor-assigned work within the timeframe specified.
AGREEMENT FOR PAYMENT
Payment is due prior to the start of a tutoring session OR payment is due weekly/monthly in advance.
*In order for funds to be automatically paid monthly, an ACH or credit card authorization form must be completed.
WHOLE AGREEMENT
This agreement contains the parties' entire understanding of the subject matter, and the parties waive the right to rely on any alleged expressed or implied provision that is not contained herein. Any changes to this agreement must be written down and signed by both parties.
